I’m a photographer with a love of travel and fashion. Travel is my education and inspiration, and I love being surrounded by fellow creatives.

How did you land on your current profession and (notably awesome) lifestyle? What were the most important steps that got you to where you are?

I think a lot of it has to do with luck and trust in not only yourself, but your surroundings. You can't let fear hold you back from anything. I don’t know how many times I've been scared to try something, or super nervous on a job. But I trust myself, jump in head first, and learn as I go. I've met some incredible human beings on this path, and I meet more all the time. Whether they give me advice or inspire me to be better or stronger or help to change my perspective, without them, I wouldn't be me.

I think we are a collection of moments and people, always growing and evolving our own vision of ourselves. And that's the best thing for a creative – to constantly be evolving. If you think you are the master of your craft, you won’t get any better. I love the people who I surround myself with, and I think it's important to keep friends who embody traits you want. Positivity, drive, passion, honesty and kindness are all some of my favorite traits.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

I enjoy getting a healthy and regular start to every day. I find it makes me more proud and productive. And I love a clean space. Making my bed first thing in the morning (which I used to absolutely hate) keeps my mind at ease the rest of the day.

After a workout, I split up the rest of my day by finding inspiration for upcoming projects and trips, and doing some location scouting. I like to stop around 5 or 6:00pm, the end of a normal workday, to be social in some capacity. I am a Leo and very extroverted so I need human interaction or I'll die.

In general, I think we work too much today. We're always on: online, on email notifications, on text chains. It's important to me to have an end of day "turn off" time where I no longer do anything work related, and spend some time on me… whether that's with friends out and about, or just laying on the couch watching "Friends."

What other ways do you stay active?

I have gotten into boxing lately which has been a good stress reliever at the end of the day.

Where have you travelled to this past year, and how does your routine change when you’re away?

This year has been a bit chaotic, but in the best way possible. I've been to Portugal, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Africa, South of France, Paris, Trinidad, Tokyo, London, and India. I'm dying to go to Brazil and Antarctica – they’ve been on my list for awhile.

When traveling I still like to have my coffee and some sort of active workout. A morning jog is a wonderful way to see a new place and explore a little bit, and also gets the adrenaline going. And the sense of accomplishment I get from a good workout keeps the positive momentum going the rest of the day.

You're a busy guy. How do you unwind?

Honestly, putting my phone away is a super helpful remedy for me. I recently took a solo trip to Japan, and enjoyed disconnecting, reading, writing, and just walking around. Dinners alone, museums alone...etc. I think in our constantly connected state, we really need to find alone time with ourselves, and I'm the worst at it because I love being around people. But the bottom line is: you need to do what's best for you – and it’s important that you know yourself, and know how to maintain your wellbeing.

Any projects coming up, opinions you want to share, etc.?

I have a few fun projects coming up this year but you'll just have to wait and see on that front. But I do have some advice: do what you want. We’re super connected and constantly comparing our lives to everyone else’s. We want things immediately and are under the impression that life happens overnight, and that once we have what we desire, we’ll be happy. But the truth is we won't. There will be another want and we'll keep looking to the future hoping that the next thing will make us happier. We have to find happiness and satisfaction out of right now. We get sad when we think about the past or what we used to be or have, and anxious when we think about the future. But the only thing we have control over is now, and we deserve to do what we want.
